If your political party is not in control of the White House, your party's nomination for the presidency is usually one heck of a free for all. But it is different when your party is in the White House. The tradition of American presidential politics is such that when a sitting Vice President wants his party's nomination to run for President, and he receives the endorsement of the President, the other members of the party hand over the nomination to the Vice President.
Bill Bradley did not do that. Instead he challenged Al Gore and forced Gore to use up valuable time and campaign resources to fend off Bradley's challenge. As it turned out, Gore is probably better off because he learned a great deal about how to run a presidential campaign. But it could have resulted in a disaster where the Democratic Party might have been too split to mount a viable presidential campaign. Why was Bradley willing to run that risk?
From the astrological point of view, it was because Bill Bradley and Al Gore form both the Nuclear Clash and the Heartbreak Clash. We explained in the Heartbreak Section of this website how Nuclear Clashes and Heartbreak Clashes are formed and that they are both Saturn Clashes. We also explained they are astrological signs of probable breakup in a romantic relationship. But we are not talking about romance here. We are talking about politics and in politics, these two Clashes are both astrological signs of a high degree of antagonism and probable confrontation. If you watched any of the televised debates between these two men, you could not help but notice the very high degree of antagonism between them. It was not because either of them was antagonistic by nature. It was due to the Saturn Clashes their birth charts formed.

What can we learn from this? Very few of us are politicians, but the principle of Nuclear Clashes and Heartbreak Clashes work just as well in all parts of our lives. For one thing, it is a good rule of thumb to avoid working for anyone who forms two such Clashes to you, and do not hire anyone who forms two such Clashes to you. The same is true for attorneys, accountants, brokers, etc. Sometimes, nothing bad happens even if any such person forms a Saturn Clash to you. But why take the chance? It is much wiser to do business with those who form Golden Linkages to you. (Every Cinderella Linkage is a Golden Linkage.) What if you have both Golden Linkages and Saturn Clashes? Well, every case is a little different and these are details we explain in our books and teach our members.
Of course, this means you have to ask a lot of people for their birth dates. But that is okay because it is best to know what you are dealing with and you cannot know the person without knowing the birth chart.
