Here is how the Preview Screen works:

 

There are 28 large squares each divided into four quadrants – each of the large squares has a date on top.

 

Each of the large squares is divided into four colored quadrants – each quadrant represents a quarter-day meaning six hours of a day.  The Cosmic Storm level number for that quarter-day is inside that quadrant.

 

For example, we have enlarged the Daily Square for September 12, Thursday:

 

 

 

For every day:

 

The upper right quadrant represents Midnight until 6 AM (Quarter Day 1)

The lower right quadrant represents 6 AM until Noon (Quarter Day 2)

The lower left quadrant represents Noon until 6 PM (Quarter Day 3)

The upper left quadrant represents 6 PM until Midnight (Quarter Day 4)

 

In the above example, Quarter Day 1 of the above day has an average Cosmic Storm level of -2. 

 

Quarter Day 3 is the worst quarter of that day because the Cosmic Storm level of -11 is the worst.

 

You can just eyeball the colors and know the progression of the Cosmic Storm levels for each of the days.
